Since its inception, the PGC requested more formal follow-up on student research progress during the Ph.D. program. Eventually, the thesis advising committees were created for students in their third or upper years. However, lacking follow-up from the department on the progress of such committees, they need amendments. Here you'll find a series of recommendations the PGC made in meetings with the department's graduate committee. Several of them have not been implemented yet.
